Monaco

All long-stay visa applications must be accompanied by the following documents:

  • visa application form, which must be completed online at https://france-visas.gouv.fr, printed out and signed. This is compulsory for each applicant (minor or adult) prior to submitting the file to the relevant consular post;

  • 1 photograph, recent, color, format 3.5x4.5cm ;

  • photocopy of all occupied pages of passports of all nationalities held (valid or not renewed) and, where applicable, photocopy of a valid residence permit.

For long-stay visa applications to Monaco, applicants must also present the following supporting documents, depending on their situation:

1/ You have an employment contract lasting between three and six months in the Principality: to support your application for a temporary long-stay visa, you must submit an employment contract approved by the Principality's Employment Service.

2/ If you wish to settle in Monaco: you must submit the following documents in support of your application for a long-stay visa.

  • Curriculum vitae for all applicants over the age of majority: specify the reasons for settling in the Principality of Monaco and the detailed, quantified origin of financial and property resources ;

  • Birth certificate, legalized or apostilled and translated (depending on country of issue);

  • Marriage, divorce, widowhood certificate if applicable, legalized or apostilled and translated (depending on country of issue) ;

  • Extract of criminal record dated less than 3 months from the authorities of the country or countries of residence over the last 5 years prior to arrival in Monaco with translation, if applicable legalized or apostilled, then translated (depending on the country of issue).

  • Proof of purpose of intended stay:
    • employment contract for foreign worker endorsed by the Employment Service ;
    • or receipt of application for authorization to set up a business or company in Monaco + a detailed statement of bank accounts held, one of which must be in Monaco ;
    • or certified bank statement (Monegasque bank) proving sufficient means of subsistence without having to resort to gainful employment;
    • or letter of support from a third party (parent, partner, etc.) and documents proving this person's financial resources (photocopy of the sponsor's passport and residence permit);
    • or school attendance certificate (and proof of income).

  • Proof of accommodation:
    • If owner: a deed of ownership or a certificate of ownership showing the number of rooms in the property ;

    • If tenant: lease contract registered by the Monegasque authority ;

    • If lodging: a certificate of free accommodation to be requested by the lodger from the residents' section of the Monegasque Public Safety, accompanied by the lodger's rental lease/or property deed and a copy of the lodger's Monegasque residence permit/or national identity card.

  • Attestation on honor including information relating to civil status, nationality and residence, specifying that the applicant has never been convicted either in his country of origin or elsewhere, that he is not subject to any legal disqualification from doing business and that he has no with the law or the police;

  • For the child holding an individual passport:
    • Visa application form ;
    • Legalized or apostilled and translated birth certificate (depending on country of issue) ;
    • School attendance certificate, if applicable ;
    • 1 full-face photograph.
