Submit your application at a visa centre for France, in South Africa

Visa applications submitted in South Africa are examined by the French Consulates in Johannesburg and Cape Town ; only the Consulates are authorised to make decisions concerning visas.

  • For short-stay visa applications, please submit your application at least fifteen days before your planned departure date;
  • For long-stay visa applications, please allow at least one month between the date of submission of your application and your planned departure date.

Caution: Cerfa form in draft

The day of your appointment you must imperatively present your CERFA in final paper version. It must not have the word "DRAFT".

If your CERFA has the mention "DRAFT", this means that your application is not finalized on France-Visas and will therefore be refused on the day of filing.
